Something special

It would have been easy for the Buffalo Sabres to let down last night after losing 4-1 to the hated Toronto Maple Leafs this past Saturday. Very easy.

But, in what's becoming a trademark for this team, the Sabres refused to lose, coming back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Rangers, 4-3, with the unheralded Jason Pominville, shown at right, forcing the tie and co-captain Daniel Briere, who scored earlier in the game, getting the game-winning goal in overtime.

Although it's still early, I'm telling you, as a longtime Sabres fan, this season is taking on a special feeling.
