C'mon back anytime

Just a quick note to thank everyone who stopped by yesterday. I know this blog is small potatoes, but it had nearly 500 visitors and almost 1,000 page views yesterday. I do appreciate people taking the time, even if for only a quick read, to stop by. Thanks.

No small blog at all! I am a regular lurker and subscriber via Bloglines.

In a few short months your site has become one of my reference points for comparing signatures and checking signing habits. Specifically, mainly for my hounding trip to Carolina this past January.

Keep up the good work: with posting, autograph hoounding with Colin, and all the rest. Can't wait for version 3.0!

Thanks for the kind words.

How did the trip to Carolina go? I've heard that it's kinda tough getting the visiting teams.

While I am not a "hound" I do enjoy the hockey discussion and the word association....I digest anything hockey so I appreciate your blog for reasons other than it main intent, but I am loyal.

I did very well: 18 cards signed! I went to the practice rink one day and the RBC center for a post-pracice the second.

I didn't even know what to do for visitors, so I was unaware on that. The word I got was visitors are very hit-or-miss.

The best thing though, is after studying for about 2 months, I did not miss a face!

Telling locals who just emerged from the locker room was so awesome and shameful all at once!

JLS: Considering how far we go back -- sixth grade at Delevan-Machias Elementary (were you in Mr. Volk's classroom?) -- perhaps I'll serve as a consultant, free of charge, so you can become a hound. As always, Jeff, thanks for reading.

Michael: Nice autographs. One word of caution, though. Once fellow hounds know that you can identify the players, they suddenly become your best friends.

Ah Mr. Volk....yes I was. I have a good Mr. Volk and the spectre of the teacher story to share with you sometime. Good times, good times! As for hounding, it would be way too far for me to even try to accomplish even the smallest portion of your collection, especially with gas the price that it is. Hey, I could use some ideas's for my tattoo should the Sabres win the cup....I was thinking the cup with all three logos incorporated....if they win, it will happen.
